Case taking is an art of collecting all the information about the patient, using various tools like observation, perception, history-taking – given by the patient/attendant, clinical examination etc. in order to find a remedy for the patient – using our knowledge of Homeopathic Materia Medica, Organon of Medicine, and Repertory. Repertory is a logical & systematic compilation of the symptoms of the Homoeopathic Materia Medica which helps in finding similar remedies for a given case. The department of Case taking and repertory imbibes an understanding of the subject, essential for appropriate employment of knowledge of materia medica in practice of homoeopathy. The department provides access to various repertories as well as a number of homoeopathic software for students. There is also a provision to watch case taking of OPD patients in real-time for discussion on the said cases. This facility also allows discussion on observations made by students about patient, which holds weightage from homoeopathic perspective.
