Department of Community Medicine, Research Methodology And Biostatistics moulds students in a professional manner to confidently deal with health issues in a community. The Department encourages students to participate actively in assessing health status of community by conducting routine health surveys, where the health issues are identified and advice to rectify and measures to prevent the issues are delivered. Apart from learning the health set up in our country, immunization schedule, preventive aspects of various diseases etc., they will be exposed to various activities of CHC and PHC. Annual visits to milk diary, industry, water purification and sewage treatment plants are conducted to understand the health hazards related to these fields and their preventive measures. Seminars are conducted on various topics with the aim of providing a platform for students. Department of community medicine includes faculty rooms, well equipped demonstration room and a reference library.
